Spyder’s heritage is one of speed, progression, and experience. The company was started back in 1977 as David L. Jacobs, Inc. While David Jacobs’ young sons were in the ski race circuit, he noted there was only one brand of race sweaters available. He knew he could make a better product and sell it to the close-knit race community. David L. Jacobs, Inc. was, back then, a small mail order business ‘for racers, by racers’.One of Jacob’s early creations was a blue racing pant with yellow striped protective pads. Skiers began calling them ‘spider’ pants, due to their spider leg-like appearance. Jacobs then renamed the company to Spyder in 1978.Spyder is known for its top of the line fabric and technology combo.Spyder’s signature fabrics are:2-Layer Stretch Fabric – Ideal for a wide range of mountain professional use. 3-Layer Stretch Fabric - Spyder’s most versatile fabric, delivering high breathability and a full range of motion while allowing for laying underneath.- Work Fabric – The perfect tool for use in all mountain operations. Withstands extremely high abrasion and grease.- 3-Layer Softshell Fabric – The perfect fabric, providing warmth and comfort through layering, or standing alone as a lighter weight garment.- 2-Layer Dobby Ripstop Fabric – The perfect fabric for lightweight and packable garments.- Non-Pill Fleece Fabric – Specially engineered to reduce bunching and keep warm from the elements.Spyder’s technology consists of:- 3M Thinsulate Insulation – Thin yet protective, the low-profile answer to cold- ThermaWEB – Contains ultra-fine fibers that rap and hold body heat- Xt.L – An ultra-thin membrane that delivers superior waterproofing and breathability- Spylon – Repels rain and snow and decreases dry time- DryWEB – Absorbs and transports perspiration- RECCO – An avalanche rescue system, utilized worldwide to facilitate the rapid location of burials

SPYDER: Made for cold-weather athletes with its wicking fleece side panels and stretchy sweater knit-on-fleece body, the handsome Bandit Half Zip Stryke just might become your universal favorite as a day-off pullover.
DESIGN: The Bandit Stryke has stretch fleece panels at underarm and side body, so you don’t have to sacrifice warmth for comfort. The jacket has a reverse coil center front zipper, which provides a clean look by not showing the teeth on the zipper.
FEATURES: Along with the center-front zipper on the Half Zip Bandit Stryke, there are reverse coil pocket zippers on the hand and chest. It also features a brushed microfiber inner collar for ultimate comfort and extra warmth during harsh winter weather.
MATERIAL: The Bandit Stryke is made from a double knit polyester fleece with a brushed back for added comfort with a sweater knit bonded to anti-pill fleece. All combines to make for a highly technical, and comfortable piece.
BEST USE: The Half Zip Bandit Stryke Jacket is perfect for any outdoor activity and can easily become an everyday item. This comfortable jacket can be used as a layering piece on the mountain, hiking, running, training or camping.
Not quite sure why this is considered a jacket. Personally, I’d consider it more of a sweatshirt. Guess I’m just used to jackets with a more solid outer shell. Make sure you read the description carefully if your definition of a jacket is similar to mine. But regardless, this thing is awesome looking! Oh yeah, it’s warm too. I can usually lounge around the house in a long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt/hoodie and be okay. I could feel the warmth within minutes of putting this on and feel myself starting to sweat. This “jacket” appears to be made of pretty decent quality and seems to be quite durable. The zippered pocket is big enough to fit my Motorola Z Force with the extra battery pack attached. I am quite happy with my purchase and this thing will keep me warm through these Midwest winters...especially the one we’re having this year! I would definitely buy Spyder again in the future!Everybody knows Spyder for skiing and winter sports, but what's really outstanding about this garment is that it duals as a "sport coat" substitute for man occasions. Consider the times that you need to dial it up a bit but a blazer is too much and a sweater is too old-fogey. This is your answer. Smart, casual, dialed-up. A winner. I really should by about every color ever made...Love it. Love the brand for its quality and style. These last me years on end!!! Great buy.I like the quality of the sweater and it’s keeps you warm.I liked the weight of the product. I only wish it had pockets. If that doesn't matter to you then you will love it!High quality fabric, great fit, comfortable. I'm 6'0" / 175lbs, athletic but slim build, and the size "Large" fits well (semi-relaxed fit). If I was 185 - 190 I'd probably fill it right out. Classy / sporty sweater, and provides good warmth on colder days.Spyder has replaced Under Armor as my go to items when it gets chilly. The quality and construction are top quality. The look is timeless and very comfortable. Fit is right on the money. Love SpyderComfortable jacket that can be used in both an athletic or social setting.A 'go to' garment when I want something that's goes with whatever else I'm wearing, and has a purposeful presence. Being one colour, including the logos makes it a whole lot less flashy than much of the Spyder clothing range - and better for it. And it fits well.Bought this great jacket Feb have only worn it two or three times now I want to wash it but just discovered the labels have been cut off any ideas? I just hope it was not a return from some weirdo.....Product bought in discount At 49 sterline At place of 100 euro in Europe. Arrived in the time indicate. Product Perfect. When i wear it mantain body hot. i bought a L size and Im tall 184 centimeters and IS ok as size.I brought this earlier in the year, for when I went skiing. It's warm enough and comfy to wear, however the outer material is poor. After only 2/3 of wearing it, the cotton on the outside of the jacket started to fray and 'bobble' on the arms.I would of returned it, however I missed the return deadline.Great quality as with all Spyder gear but keep away from the rough side of Velcro because it gets stuck and can ruin the top!
